REPORT

Firstly I would like to thank the following people who, after the call went out, attended the track early and armed with shovels, brooms and various other items, put in some serious manual labour to clear the track of sand and debris so that racing could take place.

I lent the workers my shovel !!

Not to mention our Track Manager, Mr Richard Jenkins who worked as hard as a council worker.

Above Ritchie attacks a root with the matic.

Next Ritchie blows the track after the boys shoveled half a ton of sand and dirt back off the track.

So after a couple of hours cleaning the track and then deploying all the witches hats and signs and 5 mins before start time, the heavens opened up and everyone huddled in the club house.

In one of the greatest travesties of all time, our resident photographer missed our Vice President winning the A grade event.

If it is any consolation, Brad, Rocky's photography was a little "off" on the day and all the sprint photos are all blurs like this one of young Patrick Sharpe winning the B grade event:

Rocky, I am no photograper but  with the low light levels of winter and overcast conditions you are going to have to start playing with the aperture and shutter speed.  You might have to take the Nikon off automatic !
