REPORT

Leeann gives the kids some pearls of wisdom.

Sorry, No action shots this week as "Cecil B de Fortuna" was away.

Bit windier this week.  B grade was finally caught by A grade with the average speed being about  2kph different between the two bunches.

Great ride by RBCC's Jacky Mayo and Ben Drury who both rode away from the front of C grade and stayed away for most of the race in the windy conditions.  Not only did they earn the glory of 1st & Second place, they also earned the great honour of being promoted to B grade.  Congratulations boys!

Great ride by new RBCC/STEAM member Lisa Antil to take out third place in her first ever race at Heffron Park.  Congratulations Lisa.

Little bit of drama in the B grade sprint with Big Bazza going down at over 50kph (that's what it said on his Polar).  Luckily for Bazza he impacted with the grass and used his face for brakes.  Unlucky for the council they have a huge divet  to replace.  I am pretty sure that no blame will be leveled at cycling community however, as it is more likely that they will be looking for a run away front end loader!   In fact several witnesses likened the scene to the opening sequences of the film Superman, when the infants superman's space ship crashes and ploughs through his eventual adoptive parent's (the Kent's), farm.

Good news is twofold.  Firstly Bazza still has movie star looks.  (Freddy Kruger was a big hit movie star don't forget)  But more importantly, Bazza presented himself Sunday morning for the club Waterfall ride.  Although he had a few little twinges, he managed to handle a 130Km ride down to Stanwell Park and back through the National Park, no problems at all.  Yes the eighth wonder of the world who defies physics, as quoted by Paul Craft, is OK .

Well that's this weeks wrap up.  Don't forget that there is no racing at Heffron for 2 weeks.  Racing will resume at Heffron on Saturday 25th April.  Don't forget also that now that we are outside Daylight Saving Time, racing for Juniors starts at 1pm and Seniors at 2pm.
