A huge thank you to Chief
Commissaire Ken Martin. Assistant Commissaires
included John & Joanne Buckton and Richard Jenkins.

A big thank you also Janelle Lindsay OAM, who must have
been hoarse after her non stop comentary and race
calling which generated excitment and enthusiasm all
day. Above Janelle left, John Buckton and Chief
Com Ken Martin.
Thanks to Marjan McGarry and Daniel Healy who
both did a great job counting and calling the laps all
day.
Thanks to all those RBCC members who assisted and made the day
possible.

Thanks to the workers in the busy registration tent.
Thanks to Allison Cater, Maria Jenkins, Rosanna Fortuna
and Kerry and Keely O'Niell to name but a few.

The girls in the canteen. Thanks to Anna Fortuna,
Sue Shavikin & Kate Buckton who doubled as our

Thanks to our Chief chef, Rocky Fortuna who thankfully
doubled as camerman after Tony Horneman had to leave mid
morning. For some reason when Rocky was cooking we
would send our 50 raw sausages and only 30 cooked ones
would come back.
Thanks to our Venue Co-ordinator Richard Jenkins
who ensured that we had persons for every job. Thanks to those
who helped with venue and track setup Including Dale Rockell, Matt
Hynes, Richard Jenkins, John Buckton, Phil Jobling, Tony Horneman,
Peter Davison. Thanks to our Marshals who did on average 2 hr shifts
and included Frank Caristo, Louis La Hei, Phil Jobling, David Price,
Peter Davison, Tom Skulander,
If we have missed out on we apologise. Needless to say the
efforts of everyone and the attendance of all facilitated in the
running of a fabulous day.

REPORT
Another cold October day and what a surprise,
it was blowing a gale at Heffron Park. Very trying
conditions that lent themselves to break aways, as the lead riders
rode in the gutter and forced following riders to get their
share of the wind.
A full turn up the 500 metre long start
finish straight was excruciating and there were lots of riders
screaming for others to "do a turn"
It made it pretty easy for us as Commissaires
with very little bunch sprints happening and the majority of
victories coming from small breaks. Such was the case in
the first race of the day, the women's handicap. The
scratch markers caught the limit riders fairly easily in the
windy conditions and then 2 riders, Amanda Spratt and Rochelle
Gilmore rode off the front whilst other riders chased them in
ones and twos.
