Tanya Newton drives the C grade bunch down the Heffron Park start/finish straight.

In the end though, it was Illawarra rider Roger Ocvirk who managed an easy victory in the C grade division. Congratulations Roger and next time you are up visiting us from Illawarra, congratulations also at being promoted to B grade.

Last weeks B grade winner and this week's 3rd place getter, Steve Foster got a break on the B grade peleton and tried to get away.  Unfortunately he took Big Chief Jaroota aka Big Bazza, aka Ali Ahmed Wheelsucker with him.  The "Dream Team" know from painful experience that you can't expect too many "turns" from the Big Fella.   Your escape was doomed to failure.............

Just joking Big Chief.  You know we love you.

Now here's an advertisment or rather a plug for our clothing manufacturer, CANNIBAL.  They really do make a tough chamois in the knicks.  Here's Robby Cater shortly after taking victory in the A grade race.  Apparently young Robbie had a bit of trouble with his seat post resuting in him falling back initially onto his back wheel and then onto the ground.  Whilst the lycra did not fare well, that chamois saved his cheeks from a good grazing !!

Some of the girls said something along the lines of "Nice Buns Robbie"

PRIZE MONEY

Don't forget that thanks to the generous support of our sponsor FRF and in an effort to encourage more A graders to Saturday racing at  Heffron Park, the prize money has been SUBSTANTIALLY increased. 

START TIMES

Randwick Botany Cycling Club conducts racing at Heffron Park, Maroubra NSW each Saturday throughout the year. Juniors start at 12.30pm. Seniors D, E, & F grades will start at 2pm and A, B & C grades will start at 3pm.

RACING SHEDULE

A handicap race for A B & C grades will be conducted on the first Saturday of every month.  Second,  fourth & fifth Saturdays will be normal scratch races.  On the Third Saturday of every month racing will be longer and conducted in reverse direction.  A grade 25 laps (50 kilometres), B grade 23 laps and C grade 20 laps.  D, E & F will be normal distance
