REPORT
With many riders away at the
Kurrajong open, A & B grades was again joined this week.
There were lots of attacks like this one pictured left with
John Boles of Randwick Botany going off the front of the
bunch. |
| |
The sprint was close with Andy
Hall narrowly missing out on catchingfirst place getter
Stefan Buzunovic from
Easts and Matt McGoon charging home hard to finish third and
Todd Spokes fourth. |
| |
Bit of action in C grade with
2 escapees getting away during the early part of the race.
The pair, including Randwick Botany's Tony Caruana, worked
well together but as the picture shows left, on the bell
lap, the escapees were in trouble with their stamina waning
and with the bunch catching. |
| |
The bunch eventually got them
and it was big Bazza Mourad who flew home to take victory in
the C grade event. Left Big Baz gives it everything
with head down pushing for the line, whilst Kevin Vlahos
sits up and cruises in for second place. |
| |
Earlier in the race, Big Bazza
had not looked real serious. Left ace camerman Rocky Fortuna
catches him with a big stupid grin on his face ! Come
on Bazza, a bit of professionalism if you please. |
| |
Moments after completion of
the race, Big Bazza parked his bike outside the clubhouse
and headed into the canteen to partake of the various
goodies and "Carbo-load" himself back up to pre-race
condition |
| |
The D grade sprint saw RBCC
Junior Tim Duncan take first with John Lynch second.
These two riders who finished a country mile in front of the
bunch seemed over the moon not only in the fact that they
came first and second but in the knowledge that they had
both been promoted to C grade for next week.
Congratulations guys. |
| |
The Flying Frenchman, Herve
Boutin, storms home to easily take victory in E grade.
Herve who is apparently the only Frenchman on the plannet
who likes Lance Armstrong, beat me to the bunch in
announcing that he was going up to D grade next week.
Good on you Herve. |
Well that's it till next week.
