REPORT
|
|
|
 |
A lower than normal attendance this week especially so in the D
& E grade fields. Hopefully due to Masters riders competing at
the State Criterium championships. However some of the
strongmen, such as Kevin black were seen competing at both events.
Good on you Kevin. Left, A B & C grade on the line ready to go |
Randwick Botany Cycling Club rider Jerzy Sowa
rode away for a solo win in the 36km A-Grade criterium race at Heffron
Park on Saturday 23 October 2004. Michael Bolt (Bicisport) won the
sprint for second place, followed by Nicholas Rathbourne (Eastern
Suburbs), Matthew Lucas (Randwick Botany) and Simon Vagg (Sydney).
U17 rider,
Luke Davison (Randwick Botany) is
hitting top form leading into the junior track season with a win in the
tough B-Grade 32km race. Exploding out of the bunch in the sprint
Davison stormed home to take the honours ahead of older riders Karl
Bellemy (Randwick Botany), Dan O’Callaghan (Sydney) and Arthur Driver (Penrith
Panthers).
Sorry team, not many photos this week.
Joanne and I were away till late in the afternoon at the Masters State
titles at Dunc Gray and I told Tony to use the club number 2 camera.
Tony took the camera, not a problem but didn't charge the batteries.
Any/all complaints can be directed to Tony at email below.
