Saturday 2nd July 2005 Junior Report  

 

Hi All,

First weekend of School Holidays and with the Junior Two Day Tour at Canberra, numbers were bit low on other Saturdays, but we had a good afternoon of racing all the same.

Race format:  One Lap Time Trial, Team Handicap Race (reduced laps from 10 to 5 due to time) & Relay Race

Congratulations to James Kolesnyk - who broke his personal best time, new time 6.12.  James rode exceptionally well considering he only got his the new road bike that morning from his Pop!

Another young rider who showed excellent bike skills was Dante Palazetti,  Riding the smallest bike at Heffron, Dante showed amazing endurance to maintain his pedalling speed around the 2.2k track!  

We had a new member join the Club Tomas Kemmery - Welcome to Randwick Botany Juniors.  Thomas demonstrated a good fitness level and bike skills, look forward to seeing him progress over the coming months. 

It was good to see another new rider as well at the track - Jack McCreanor who I haven’t met before.  Jack is also very young but very keen so expect some great racing coming up with so many new young riders joining the club.

We will list everyone’s PB on the Junior Notice Board inside Club House so you can see how you are improving over the months.   Thanks to Helen Vella’s efforts and Bob Bykerk’s computer skills we can track everyone’s progress over the coming year.
