Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Stage 4 Photos

Above- The 20 plus brave souls that set out on the first day to do Stage 1 (Click on images for full size view)

Ritchie Jenkins and Andrew Young. Day 1

Mark Murdoch day 1.  He's wearing all the gear this year.

El Presidente (me).  Come on, what's the holdup.  There's mountains to climb !

Pat.  "I don't want to go yet"

Big Bird.  He reached the peak before anyone else.  Well the top of his helmet did anyway.

This is how the climbs really looked.  I think Marek must have been holding the camera incorrectly.

Here's our bloody heroes getting their butts kicked by some ring in Canberra riders.  Some whinging about one of them being national hill climb champion or something.

The A team already for Dead Horse.  Pat Naughton was smart.  Had his photo taken then came back with us.

Big Matty.  The Europeans take their helmets off up the climb, how come it's not working for me? Where's Joanne and the sag wagon?"

El Presidente, just about to pass Spongie and Paddy up one of the climbs.  (nuff said)

Mark and Ritchie battled it out all weekend

Here's a shot of Tony pulling Paddy along.

Here's Paddy climbing Dead Horse.  Well Paddy was in a Pro team so I guess its ok about the helmet thing.

Here's Robbie.  Why does he always look so fast?

At least Robbie flew the flag and gave that Canberra guy a bit of competition up Dead Horse.

Scotty Callum.  Make sure if he is on your bunch ride that he is wearing bib knicks. He has some bad habits.

The Slapper !!  Has anyone ever seen him on his bike without an ear to ear grin.

Spongie.  At least one of the Jenkins boys made all the rides this year.

Tony Horneman Vice El Presidente on his first tour de Snowy.  It was hard but he was wearing that smile so I reckon he was having a good time.

Whitey shows some of the young ones how to climb a hill.

It's all too much for Richard who basically fainted after the rigors of the Dalgetty stage.

Seating was in high demand at our designated stop, so Ritchie did come in handy.  Here Matty finds him quite comfortable.

The boys on the way to Dalgetty.  Great roads, no traffic and breathtaking scenery.

Dave "Jacko" Jackson took charge on the last day as ride captain and put everyone in their place.

Spongie found that doing the entire weekend was much more fun than doing the second half in hospital.  He took it very easy this year except for one particular sprint. That was on the last day though.

Pat and Thomas "the Magnet" Murdoch.

This is all that was left of the crew on stage 4. Although maniacs, Robbie and Big Bird set off early to do Dead Horse again

Nick Hall got the jersey for most punctures.  It was nice however to have Joanne with my track pump travelling behind.  Typical junior.  Great spectators.

Dr Sneaky Pete is simply amazing.  I have never seen anyone able to write the introduction to his thesis or read totally oblivious to the rat pack screaming and playing playstation beside him.

Ah there is nothing like a Coldie to make the leg pain go away.  I had one or two for medicinal value only you understand.

Another Doctor, Don't they do anything else but read?  Seriously though, Kev seemed to have a great time down at Jindy.

Pat also couldn't get his nose out of a book.  I know he's at Uni, maybe he's doing a PHD as well.

No wonder Smartie climbs hills like a jackrabbit, all he eats is rabbit food.

Dr Sneaky.  He was even reading while he was eating dinner!

Tania looked pretty tired after the first day.  She took a rest day on day 2.

Here's the motley crew

Tony and Kev got pretty comfortable

Tony gets deep & meaningful whilst Sneaky ponders on his thesis and shows us his huge feet.

Here's home sweet home.  The Three Way Inn.  Thanks to Bruce Vote for letting us use his fantastic setup.

Jindabyne is a beautiful place.  Here is a picture of the lake captured by Marek

More scenes of Lake Jindabyne.  Just magnificent and oh the serenity.  (that is till one of the locals starts his V8 chainsaw - seems like they all have them and unless they are hitting 200 decibels they mustn't cut too well)

Side view of the Three Way Inn.

Left- Now I have been sarcastically referred to as RBCC's "Minister for Culture"  So I will have you all know that I went and studied the Sculptures on display at the Jindabyne fair. Did you pose for this one Big Bird?  Not only did I take in the Arts but also the music as I watched Phil Horneman (Tony's brother) belt out the melodies on the keyboard.  Fellow Arts Patron, "Jacko" and I were terribly disappointed when those talented sheilas, Honey Horngold and the Stutgart Steppers had to cancel the gig at the Jindabyne Fair.
